Post what you need. Let people come to you.

Finding someone for a video edit, a role, a research summary, or a piece of regulatory writing usually means messaging a dozen people and hearing back from three. Post one brief instead and let people who want the work pitch for it.

What a good brief looks like

  • The deliverable, specifically — "one 30-second vertical Reel," not "some social content."
  • Context that shapes it — platform, seniority, or intended audience.
  • A budget band and a rough deadline — a band, not a number, since you're inviting a conversation, not a reverse auction.

How you tell who's genuine

Verification badges aren't live yet — when they land, each profile will show what was checked and when, not a bare checkmark. Until then, judge on account age, history on Plumely, and the work itself.

Pricing and payment stay between you

Plumely takes no commission and never touches the money — you negotiate and pay directly, which also means we can't reverse a payment or recover funds.

  • Never pay the full amount upfront to a brand-new account; pay in stages against deliverables.
  • Agree scope, revisions, deadline and the advance in the thread before work starts — it's timestamped.

What it costs

Browsing and reading bids is free. Posting is metered, not commissioned — Plumely Pro includes a brief a month, and there's no percentage on what you pay whoever you hire.

FAQ

How much does it cost to post a brief?+

Browsing is free. Posting a brief is included in Plumely Pro (one per month). Plumely never takes a percentage of what you pay the creator.

Does Plumely vet the creators?+

Not yet — verification isn't live. When it is, we'll show exactly what was checked and when, and we'll never claim to assess quality. See the safety guide for how to judge a profile in the meantime.

What if a creator takes the money and disappears?+

Report them — reports are reviewed and a banned account can't re-verify the same domain or channel. Plumely can't get your money back, though, so the precautions above matter more than the reporting does. Full playbook on the safety page.
